Castle Street Townhouse Renovation

For this existing historic house in town, the wrap-around porch was insulated and incorporated into a newly relocated eat-in kitchen. The dropped ceilings were removed, as were several walls — opening up the new light-filled space to a walk-out garden and patio. The first floor layout was reconfigured to aslo include a new sitting room, a guest en-suite bedroom, and a small library. The garage was divided to allow for a private new artist studio. The result is a contemporary insertion of a grand living space within a very tight townhouse.
