Model Space 25%
This installation at the Black and White Gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, is a life sized architectural diorama, a huge scale model of a project to be realized in Saugerties, NY. The 1:4 scale model, a 25’ long construction, includes the abstracted landscape with trees and dramatic topography representing the ravine over which the project is intended to levitate. The experience of the installation is one of ambiguous scale and an uncanny confusion of life-sized and model scale. One peers into a huge dollhouse and hulks over a Lilliputian lanscape. The result is a surreal expression of occupying a middle ground between architectural study and built project.
